Hi. I'm Paul Cotter, the photographer and writer behind Paul's Reflections. Before we get started, I'd like to say a few words about the purpose of my new blog.
Paul's Reflections is meant to be a fusion of my photography and my thoughts about life and living.
As I see it, those two elements -- photography and life -- are deeply connected. When I taught photography, I told my students that taking pictures is more than an art -- it's something that's filled with life lessons if we take care to listen and pay attention to what's happening.
As a photographer, I shoot a wide range of styles. But I've always been drawn quite strongly to abstract images, particularly those involving shadows and reflections. In this blog, you'll see photographs of reflections (and other subjects of interest) ... paired with personal reflections on life. That's what Paul's Reflections is all about. I hope you enjoy it.
