Infinite vastness,
obscured by myriad things
like the rocks
that seem so real
but only serve to block our view
of the mysteries beyond.
Okay, I'm not a poet; I’m a prose writer. But in this case, I made several unsuccessful attempts to put into paragraph form what I was trying to say about this photo – each attempt more heavy-handed than the last. Finally, I threw out the paragraphs and wrote a verse instead. It’s a little airier, and hopefully it provides a small glimpse of the thought I was trying to convey.
Photographer’s Footnote: This is a view through the Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick, Canada, taken during our recent trip to Nova Scotia and surrounding areas.
