This was one of the most memorable mornings in my life. I got up before dawn and stood on a rooftop in Cotija de la Paz, Mexico with my camera on a tripod, waiting for the sun to rise.
As I stood on the flat roof with a steaming mug of coffee in my hand, I watched the sky turn glorious shades of purple and orange behind the distant mountains while the little city slept below. It was breathtaking, awe-inspiring, humbling and soul-stirring all at once.
Not every morning begins with an unforgettable view like this. But it's good to remember that each new morning is a gift: the start of a new day filled with the simple joy and wonder of being alive.
Let's treat each morning like the miraculous gift that it is.
